The MELAprint 60 can communicate directly with the autoclave:

When the sterilization program is successfully completed and the machine's screen indicates that the program is complete, labels are printed using the MELAprint 60 printer to mark the packed instruments. When the sterilization is completed and the result of the indicators on the screen is confirmed, the autoclave screen displays a message asking how many labels to print. Additional computer in reprocessing room and external dispensing software not required. Labels include information about the instrument and sterilization program, date of sterilization, daily and total load, shelf life of the sterilized instrument, if applicable, personal numbers of the people who started the sterilization, released the instruments for use and printed the label, and a barcode for convenient digital documentation in your practice.

The printed labels contain such information as:

• sterilization date,
• package expiration date,
• device serial number
• cycle of the day,
• personnel identification number,
• the barcode corresponding to a given sterilization protocol.
